The Veil

By Keith Barker & Thomas Morgan Jones

Directed by Helen Juvonen

Our darkest secrets hide just behind the veil.

From celebrated theatre-makers Keith Barker and Thomas Morgan Jones comes The Veil. Inspired by classic horror writers like Edgar Allan Poe and Shirley Jackson, this haunting new play will follow you long after you leave the theatre.

When a high-powered lawyer takes on a sinister curse, every terrible deed he’s ever committed stirs to life and lurks just beyond his sight. As reality blurs into nightmare, The Veil spirals into a pulse-quickening race against time.

The Veil is a Thought For Food production in association with Guild Festival Theatre.

After a successful run at Crow’s Theatre in Autumn 2025, The Veil will be thrilling audiences in Stratford as part of the Stratford Festival’s Meighen Forum in October 2026!

Tickets are on sale now through the Stratford Festival’s website!

THE THEATRE IN TRANSIT EXPERIENCE

Accompany our Lieutenant-Commander as she journeys from her Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRENS) base at Guild Inn to Stratford, Ontario to relay an important message to Pearson, Shank, Darby, and Shaw.

During WWII, Guild Inn was the training site for essential wartime communications and radio telegraphy. Our resident code-breaker takes you along for a retelling of Guild Park’s infamous spooky tales, enlisting brave souls to help her crack the code before time runs out.
