Volunteer with Guild Festival Theatre

We need energetic volunteers to help us at events, keep things running behind the scenes, and to steer the planning and strategy of GFT. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to achieve volunteer experience in the community, log hours towards a community service goal, or theatre lovers who want to become involved with Scarborough’s only professional theatre.

As a volunteer, you can:

  • Enjoy free admission to shows

  • Participate in various tasks (such as ushering at events, working on a committee, or helping out with artistic projects)

  • Gain experience with a professional theatre company - an excellent addition to any resume

ABOUT GFT

Guild Festival Theatre is Scarborough’s only professional theatre, performing at the iconic Greek Theatre in Guild Park & Gardens in the summer months. This year is our 15th summer in Guild Park, and our our 2026 programming features a theatrical imagining of the lives of the beloved Brontë sisters and an irreverent new adaptation of a Jane Austen classic. Our 15th season in the park kicks off on July 4th with a special outdoor performance and workshop by Nagata Shachu.

Also returning for its 5th year, is our popular Family Fest! This summer the festival will bring the park to life with a celebration of the Scarborough community, featuring stories and traditions from around the world.
