COVID-19 Policy FAQs:
What safety precautions are in place for COVID-19?
Guild Festival Theatre will be closely monitoring federal and provincial and local public health guidelines, and making updates to our policies as needed. At this time, we do not require proof of vaccination, and while wearing a mask or face covering is strongly encouraged at the theatre, it is not required.
The show is outdoors, why should I wear a mask?
While the Greek Theatre is an outdoor venue, we are anticipating a large number of patrons and staff inside the audience area, and physical distancing may not always be possible. Wearing a mask or face covering at the theatre is strongly recommended, especially when moving around the space.
What happens if all performances for the 2022 season are cancelled due to COVID-19 precautions?
If the performances for the season cannot continue due to changes in public health guidelines or restrictions, we will offer you the opportunity to hold on to your ticket for the 2023 season, donate the price of your ticket to Guild Festival Theatre, or receive a refund.
Ticket FAQs:
Is there assigned seating?
The Greek Theatre is a general admission venue and there is no assigned seating. By purchasing your tickets, you confirm the number of people in your party (eg. Purchasing two tickets indicates to our front of house staff that there are two people in your party). Seats will be laid out based on the groups of tickets purchased for each performance. Once you arrive to the theatre you will be seated on a first come first served basis according to your party size.
If you require accommodations for your seating placement, please contact our box office (boxoffice@guildfestivaltheatre.ca) and we will make arrangements for you.
Will we be able to purchase tickets at the theatre the day of a performance?
With our limited audience capacity, we cannot guarantee how many tickets will be available at the theatre. We strongly encourage purchasing your tickets in advance to guarantee your seats.
Do I need to print my tickets?
We encourage you to go paperless and bring your tickets on your mobile device.
Do you offer a group discount?
Yes! Use the coupon code ‘GROUP4’ when you purchase tickets to receive 1 free ticket for a group of 4.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Due to limited seating availability, Guild Festival Theatre does not provide refunds. Exchanges will only be offered in the case of weather cancellations (please see our Weather Policy for further information). If you have further questions about our no refund policy, please contact the box office: boxoffice@guildfestivaltheatre.ca

Venue FAQs:
Your performances are in a park, can I bring my pet?
No, with the exception of trained service animals, we do not allow pets of any kind into the performance space.
Do we need to bring our own chairs?
No, Guild Festival Theatre is happy to provide seating in the park this summer, we have an assortment of folding and plastic chairs both with and without armrests. If for any reason you would be more comfortable in your own seat you are welcome to bring your own chairs and we will accommodate you.
What are your late and/or readmission policies?
If you arrive late for a performance or have to leave for any reason, our front of house staff will assist you to a seat during a suitable break in the performance. We recommend arriving at the theatre at least thirty minutes before the performance time to find your seats and enjoy concessions available for purchase before the show.
Can we take pictures or videos?
Guild Park is a beautiful venue and we welcome you to take pictures and videos of your friends and family enjoying the scenery - don't forget to tag us using #GFT2022! However, once you are seated and the performance begins there will be no photos or videos permitted.
Weather Policy:
In the event that rain or extreme weather interferes with performance proceedings, the show may be paused or cancelled in order to ensure the health and safety of the audience and company members.
If the weather forecast predicts rain or inclement weather on the date of a performance you have booked tickets for, please make sure to monitor your inboxes and social media as a decision will be made close to the show start time as to whether or not the performance will proceed. If you do not see any rain or inclement weather notice from GFT, please attend the show as usual.
In case of inclement weather during a performance (including, but not limited to rain or extreme heat), Stage Management will announce that the show will be paused or, in extreme cases, cancelled. Our team will be keeping track of any oncoming storms and will do our very best to anticipate these situations in advance in order to avoid mid-show cancellations.
Unfortunately, there will be no refunds issued in the case of cancellation. In the event that a performance is cancelled or compromised due to inclement weather or any other unforeseeable circumstance, we will offer ticket holders the opportunity to rebook for another performance.
